Hello;

I'm a new user of DD Pro and so far most (but not all) drivers seem to have installed smoothly. However, there are a few remaining that need to be installed manually. It isn't completely clear which device these particular updates apply to, or how and where to place the files if my attempt to update from the device manager (as I understand it) rejects the downloaded files.

The zip files I need help with are:
- Microcode Update Device,
- Microsoft TV/Video connection,
- Microsoft Kernel DRM Audio Descrambler.

I originally bought DD Pro because of a supposed driver conflict that crashes Windows when I connect my iphone 4s. All forums I've visited suggest that Logitech camera and/or HP drivers cause issues, but apparently any outdated driver can be problematic.

Please help! Thanks in advance. I'm also curious to know if any other DD user has had iphone problems with Windows XP...

Hello forum,

I am a windows 7 64-bit user and have all of the sudden had severe problems with my Optiarc DVD RW AD-7260S. I custom built my PC and everything went smoothly and was running fine. (All drivers installed correctly) The only trouble I ran into was with my Wireless AE-1000 Logitech adapter that never installed correctly. So, today and I decided to uninstall the wireless ae-1000 driver and was planning to re-install it. Unfortunately I was unable to do so because my DVD drive was not displaying as usual in the "my computer window" and would not load my CD containing the driver software for my adapter. It was displayed simply as a CD drive. I went into the device manager window and was greeted with this "Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (code 39) The issue is, is the device is already updated to latest firmware update (1.03) and this device "auto-installs" the drivers needed software. My brother has the same DVD drive and his is working fine, he is also running the same hardware and OS.

Thank you in advance for any replies.

P.S. I have already done all the kiddy stuff like system restore etc.
My post is:

At present my machine is not recognising the built in audio card. I originally installed W7 64 bit on this machine about a year ago and after some initial problems was able to get the sound working by downloading a Conexant Audio driver. Recently, after hard disk problems I have had to clean install on a new and larger capacity hard disk. All has gone well with the exception of the sound.

I downloaded installed and then ran device doctor and it said that nine of my drivers required update. The only one that is bothering me is my HD Sound. I tried the driver recommended by Device Doctor and got the message, "The hardware detected is not supported by this IDT software package. The install will be aborted."

I still have the Conexant driver that installed and worked on this setup (conexant_os2007336b although with original HD), however it does not install now.

According to Device manager my audio hardware ID's are:

Hello everyone!!

Recently I acquired a PCI Sabrent SND-P8CH Sound Card, with capability for up to 8 channels of audio or a 7.1 system.

I have Windows 7 32-bit and when installing the drivers that come in the cd, an error message appears that says something like "platform not supported".

When using Device Doctor to install the driver, it downloads the file and you have to install manually the driver. And when locating the file, extracting the rar and following the Setup, an error message appears as well.

Does somebody knows what driver works for the PCI Sabrent SND-P8CH sound card?? It seems it uses the CMI8768 drivers (from c-media), but when installing those drivers it does not identify the sound card properly and it only allows up to 4 speakers to be connected, even disables some outputs (especifically the output for the center speaker and subwoofer).

Anyone knows how to deal with this problem??

Many thanks.

Running Windows Vista Home Premium (I know 7 is better) anyway does anyone know where to put the files? As an aside the High Precision Event Timer is apparently an older version of what I already have installed.

Hey Thomas, don't panic. I've read thos two threads in a row you answered

I've just reinstalled WinXP and ran a scan. Of course i had a number of outdated drivers. Some of the suggested drivers auto-installed perfectly, but some of them didn't (some "system" drivers and audio drivers). After reading the other threads i installed them by right-clicking the inf file. But DD doesn't detect those drivers as updated. I also had an error installing the driver for my ethernet controlled and i had to manually run the installer. This one isn't seen as updated by DD either.

I restarted windows but it didn't help. I tried installing using the windows wizard (start menu-> Right click on System) but it tells me i already have the latest driver installed when i point to the download location. DD on the other hand still lists thos 20 drivers as outdated. Oh, and since i deleted the old download from the dowloads window (in order to check that maybe some new ones would show), DD tells me i already have the drivers downloaded, while they are no longer present. There is no way to re-download them.

And BTW, i have 20 drivers, but i scan twice, DD tells me i have 220 outdated drivers. Another scan and i have 2220 of them

Anybody knows how i can cure this mess?
