I was trying to use device doctor for the first time and received this error: could not resolve proxy http:127.0.0.1 no data.

If Device Doctor offered to export your scan results to a file, please do so, then you can open the file exported and download your drivers from there. (More details on that can be found in help file (click on the Help link in the program) in the topic on working without an internet connection.
